Relax and enjoy your idyllic surroundings from your own private veranda, stroll along the sandy beaches or try your hand at catching a fish from the wharf just minutes from your door. There is no better way to experience the Huon Valley than with a stay at one of warm and cosy studio cabins overlooking the bay.
We recommend that all guests obtain travel insurance in case of unforeseen events. The following Terms & Conditions are not limited. Please refer to ourwebsite for full Terms & Conditions. All reservations are subject to availability. Reservations made on Sensess Retreats website are considered conditional until a confirmation number is given to you to substantiate the reservations by email. Sensess may, from time to time, communicate with you, to re-confirm the reservations and to prevent any simulated bookings. Sensess is not responsible for communication failures, errors, difficulties, or other malfunctions or lost, stolen, or misdirected transactions, transmissions, messages, or entries on or in connection with the websites. Sensess is not responsible for any incorrect information associated with any transaction or transmission on or to the websites regardless of whether such incident is the result of user error, system error, or human error. Sensess reserves the right to impose a cancellation fee. For any booking that requires payment on check-in to the Retreat, booking must be cancelled by the time indicated on the reservations confirmation before arrival to avoid additional loss of payment. A non-refundable deposit fee equivalent to the first / one night is charged to all reservations upon booking and the remaining balance is due up to 14 nights prior to the guest’s arrival. Cancelations from the time of booking and up to 14 days prior to arrival will forfeit the non-refundable deposit equal to the first night of the booking. All single night bookings will forfeit the entire booking. Any cancellations within 14 days or failures to arrive on the due date or cancelled days after arrival will be charged at full rate. A no-show is when you do not check-in on the day of your booking reservation. Should you wish to amend any reservations, modifications may be made by contacting the Retreat prior to 14 days of arrival for an administrative fee of $60.00. Changes to any reservation can only be done once. Any changes thereafter may incur a cancelation fee equivalent to the first night. Sensess will not be liable should it fail to provide its products and services due to no availability for the changed reservation. We do not provide refunds on deposits, and this is the limit of the Retreat’s liability. Should Sensess need to change a confirmed reservation; Sensess will use all reasonable attempts to facilitate a rebooking within a three-month window at no additional cost to the guest. In the event that Sensess, for reasons beyond its control need to cancel a reservation due to a crisis such as adverse weather conditions that may affect the safety of guests and infrastructure such as official warnings from authorities of impending storms, floods and extreme and above fire ratings, Sensess may require in residence guests to leave and prevent incoming guests from entering. Guests need to ensure their travel insurance is current and covers such events. Sensess does not guarantee acknowledgement of reservations or transactions made on Sensess Retreats website arising from unforeseen circumstances, omissions or errors that may sometimes occur. ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE TIMES Standard check-in time is from 14:00hrs (2pm) and check-out time is before 10:00hrs (10am). Although reception is open from 08:00hrs (8am) thru to 21:00hrs (9pm), reception operating hours are 09:00hrs (9am) till 17:00hrs (5pm). You agree that if your required check-in time is later than 17:00hrs (5pm), you will notify us by email at least 24 hours in advance to commence remote check-in procedures (see Check-In Policy) GUARANTEE POLICY Upon check-in at reception, a pre-authorisation will be taken for the total amount of $350 per cabin. Sensess policy requires guests with no pre-arranged credit facility on check-in, to provide pre-authorisation on their credit card calculated at $350.00. Sensess reserves the right to charge for minibar consumption and/or any breakages or damage incurred during your stay due to negligent or reckless behaviour or cleaning charges in excess of the normal level of cleaning due to smoking and/or preparing strong food such as fish/curries. And/or leaving your cottage in an unreasonable condition as a self-catering resort that would require additional staff. Such charges may include lost revenue nights it may take to clean or repair such damages plus the additional cost of labour and/or repairs plus 15% admin fee. Should the guest be unable or unwilling to pay for damages, Sensess reserves the right to take legal action and engage debt collection agencies. KEYS You must return the key and/or security card for the cabin at or prior to the time of your departure and agree to pay a charge for replacement of keys and attached keyring you lose or fail to return. RELEASES AND INDEMNITY Any monies or other valuables, goods or vehicles that belong to you, brought in or on to the cabins, grounds or car park remain your responsibility and we are not responsible for their safekeeping. REFUNDS No refunds will be given in the event you terminate your booking early. USE OF INFORMATION You agree we may use your email address and phone to send you information. MINORS/PETS As a couples’ retreat, we do not have facilities to accommodate persons under the age of 18. Driftwood’s maximum occupancy is two (2) adults only. Any guests caught attempting to invite additional persons and/or persons under the age of 18 will be asked to leave without refund. In such events, the management will engage enforcement authorities. Similarly, strictly no pets are allowed. GENERAL The Terms and Conditions are governed by and will be construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Tasmania, Australia. Nothing in these terms and conditions affect any rights you may have and which by law cannot be excluded, including under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010(Cth) and under State and Territory consumer protection legislation.
